Effects of Teacher Teaching Approaches on Students Engagement and Comprehension at University Level

Teachers influence academic engagement and lifelong achievement. However, little is known about whether instructional styles explain these associations or they differ across "non-cognitive" outcomes. In classrooms, teacher-student interaction helps pupils learn. this cross-sectional study of 229 university students, perceived teaching style student engagement, curiosity, comprehension are examined. Student Engagement Instrument Curiosity Comprehension Inventory were employed. Students both Autonomous-supportive controlling approaches. students' ratings teachers' support control differed significantly (t (229)=3.942 4.774, respectively). Perceived autonomy was moderately correlated with (r=.463), (r=.318). The findings how affects interest classroom engagement.
